Quilts from Quilts of Gee's Bend, the website is pretty amazing/interesting so please go there if you are interested in finding out more. Alot of the quilts are made out of old clothes like corduroy, denim, knits. Materials that you wouldn't really normally put together if you were following "proper" quilt-making rules. The result is something far more interesting, oddly enough they have a very modern look to them. I have a stack of clothes like this, they are too scrappy to give away, but what do you do with them? Throw them in the trash? Maybe make a quilt?
